Description
Timeless and iconic PORSCHE 356 C, the latest and most accomplished with its disc brakes, the mother of the 911. Spectacular and desirable in its very rare original colour sky blue. Delivered in Los Angeles in February 1964, owned by an American journalist. Imported from the USA in 1995 by a famous Paris-Dakar motorcycle rider. Later owned by a Porsche mechanic who restored it thoroughly, including a new engine (very numerous invoices). Has covered 18, 500 km since new to date. Re-purchased and restoration continued by Atelier des Coteaux, with among other things flawless new paint to date. Very important history file and invoices as well as 전문가 certificates over time. Owner since 2022, I have further improved restoration quality for a budget of €20, 000 including 12-volt conversion, new exhaust, reconditioning Solex carburettors to remain matching, engine removal and inspection to confirm the low mileage, let’s take the opportunity to deglaze liners and replace rings as well as guides “lead-free”. All Matching: chassis, engine, gearbox, colour, Sonauto certificate and especially genuine factory KARDEX from the period. Blue vinyl upholstery... “maybe period?” in satisfactory condition. Roof lining immaculate. Carpets and mats very good. Chrome wheels as period option, tyres 90% new. All chrome in good condition. Registration document “normal”, reversible to collection status if desired. Appraised in 2025 for €125, 000. Could be considered very close to a concours condition. Faultless operation, comparable to what it could have been in 1964, sprightly and fast. Stored in a private individual garage under a cover provided. Note on some photos in this file there are white spots which are only flash reflections.
