Very nice Beetle cabriolet 1303 Karmann from 1979, one of the last models made in Germany before production ceased. Our "Cox", which was delivered to Canada in 1979, has only had 3 owners since 1979. The last one, who kept it for over 10 years, always took good care of it and only took it out when the weather was fine. Mechanically, the 1, 584 cm3 fuel-injected engine is in perfect working order. A major overhaul has just been carried out by a specialist in classic cars (a bill of more than €5, 000), including a new clutch, engine gasket, gearbox inlet gasket, front shock absorbers, wheel cylinders, fuel pipes, engine and gearbox oil changes, spark plugs, brake bleeding, steering column bearing, ignition switch, etc. We've since driven over 300 km of pure pleasure, so there's nothing to worry about. The bodywork is sound, with no corrosion. The interior has never been restored and looks good for its age. However, we note a small 3 cm tear in the skai on the driver's seat. The soft top is recent and in perfect condition. With its 50hp engine (the most powerful of the Type 1s), this Beetle can cover long distances, even if its playground is more on country roads than on motorways. Original manual and booklet present.
