Motors Corner is pleased to present this original 1983 Matra Murena S 2. 2L Kit 142 Vehicle History: This factory original Matra Murena S 2. 2L Kit 142, first registered in July 1983, has remained in the hands of its second owner, for 25 years, who has carefully preserved it over the years.
The desirable Kit 142 boosts the 2. 2-litre engine to 142bhp thanks to a reworked cylinder head, a sharper camshaft and an optimised intake, giving it more torque and a sharper acceleration. As a bonus, a new stainless-steel exhaust system gives it a nice, throaty, sporty sound. Mechanical condition: A major overhaul was recently carried out in our workshop, including an oil change, 4 spark plugs, clutch receiver, finger and igniter head, as well as 4 new tyres. The Devil stainless steel exhaust system has just been fitted to the car, and provides a very pleasant sound, in perfect harmony with the spirit of the car. As well as a complete overhaul of the cooling system, including replacement of the rigid hoses. Exterior condition: The bodywork of this Matra Murena S is in very good condition for its age. The paintwork, in its original colour, shows no scratches or dents, and the bodywork has just been polished. Interior condition: The carefully designed interior is in excellent condition. The three original Matra fabric sports seats are perfectly preserved, as are the trim and dashboard, which are neither cracked nor sun-damaged. All the equipment works perfectly, including the controls specific to this rare model. A true immersion in the world of the 80s.
