Description
Condition as new Paintwork Rialto Yellow Warranty 3 months Engine, gearbox, axle in our workshops, possibility of extension Expertise Offered Access to a 2CV6 with low mileage! It's possible, with this superb CITROËN with only 6, 450 KM! In 1970, the 2CV 6 appeared. Its twin-cylinder engine's cubic capacity was increased from 425 to 602 cm3, giving it 3 fiscal horsepower! This new car could now reach a top speed of 115 km/ h, but cost 800 francs more than the 2CV 4. The styling of this 2CV 6 is similar to that of the 4, with only the indication on the rear boot making it possible to differentiate one from the other. It was marketed until 1990. Description We are offering for sale this magnificent 1989 CITROËN 2CV 6 SPECIAL in Rialto Yellow livery, which was ordered new on 25/ 05/ 1989 from the CITROËN dealership in Orléans (45). The car was in stock at the dealership and the customer left with it, having had her old 2CV taken back for 500 Francs at the time. We have the invoice with details of the price and additional charges applied at the time. The car will remain in the same family until 2019. The car was stopped and stored at La Ferté St Aubin and covered only 6, 200 km in 30 years. We have invoices and its HISTOVEC which validate the elements, the car will pass its technical controls until 2014 with the mileage certified at 6 224 km. We also have invoices from the garage that carried out the servicing. We contacted the garage, which confirmed that the vehicle was stored under cover and certified the mileage at the time. Its owner died in 2014, and in 2019 it will be transferred to a private collection in the Netherlands following an inheritance, where it will once again be stored with no current use. It's true that, at the time, the 2CV6 was of interest to many speculators, and it wasn't uncommon to see auctions featuring 2CVs with low mileage... On 31/ 01/ 2025, via our network abroad, following the death of the Dutch collector, we succeeded in recovering the 2CV6, bringing it back to France and giving it all the care it needed to get back on the road.
The car is exceptional and is in a stunning state of preservation; no corrosion, a perfect chassis, original bodywork, the engine is in perfect working order, the soft top is in perfect condition. In our workshops, we carry out a thorough mechanical overhaul: ignition, carburetion, braking, tyre changes and we detail the car to restore the original paintwork to its original glory, the result is sublime, it's as good as new.
The exhaust was changed, the bumpers replaced, the shock absorbers replaced, the alternator belt changed, the oil changed, the engine drained and the gearbox changed. The rims had already been repainted by the previous owner and the starter changed. When you get into the car, the smell of new is still very present and it's disconcerting. The upholstery is original. The foam is tired and starting to dust off, but that doesn't detract from the beauty of the interior. The car has been serviced and is ready to go, the roadworthiness test is favourable, and the 2CV awaits its new owner, who will be able to use it on a regular basis. Our verdict A perfect 2CV to take on the road in complete safety! Rare in this condition and absolutely mythical and brand new!
