It looks like a small sports car, but inside it's the ultimate in luxury! History When Alejandro de Tomaso acquired Maserati in 1976, he had ambitious plans for the brand. His plan was to combine the prestige of the Maserati brand with a sports car that would be more affordable than the expensive early models that had traditionally made up the Maserati range. In fact, Maserati completely stopped making supercars like those developed under Citroën ownership, such as the Bora and Khamsin.
