Description
Hello, due to a new project I need to part with my T2ab single-cab pickup Combi from July 1972, with the option of a second tailgate door. Bought in 2007, I started its restoration in 2017 and continued until 2022.
- In terms of bodywork, I replaced: the tub floor and crossmembers, the rear cab sheet, half of the cargo floor, half of the cab floor, the sheet under the battery, plus various patches to the sills, restoration of the side rails, full chassis treatment...
- A number of parts were replaced with new: so the various sheets, door panels, carpets, headlining, sun visors, glovebox, steering wheel, indicator stalk, seat belts, all glass and their seals, headlights, lamps, mirrors, front bumper, tyres, hubcaps, shock absorbers, ball joints, 1678cc displacement kit with pistons and cylinder heads, exhaust, drive shafts, alternator, carburettor, fuel tank, etc...
- You can view the main restoration steps on the Flat4ever site, T2/ combi section, “restoration pickup 1972”.
It is on standard registration, 2024 technical inspection certificate, equipped with a flat tarp (level with the side rails) with its support crosspieces, and I also have the hoops that were raised by about 20 cm; they will need to be trimmed down to fit the high tarp if needed.
