Description
The type « Nerva » appears in 1930. It is a luxury model equipped with an eight-cylinder engine intended for a well-off clientele seeking comfort. In 1932, the Renault factory launched an evolution, lighter than its predecessor and named « Nervasport ». It was offered in several body styles: four-door saloon, coach, or cabriolet.
With its long bonnet, the Nervasport evokes the styling of contemporary Chryslers. It is rightly regarded as the most beautiful Renault of the pre-aerodynamic era.
Here is a (non-exhaustive) list of famous Nervasport owners: King Carol II of Romania, Louis Renault, M. Henry (Pathé Cinéma), the Michelin family, M. Caudron (aircraft manufacturer), M. Mollié (Krema confectionery)…
Today, only five or six Nervasport TG5 remain, this one being the only known drophead coupé (according to Renault Classic source).
This car has a known history and has belonged to various artists.
The previous owner kept the car for more than fifty years. The current owner has carried out a restoration.
This rare and luxurious model retains all of its original components.
