Description
This Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II was purchased by its last owner, a British diplomat, two years ago at Ghost Motors, a well-known and reputable dealer in Kent, United Kingdom, for £26, 500 (€31, 000).
It was originally delivered new to Johannesburg, South Africa – hence its particularly sound structural condition – and repatriated by the same first owner in 1991 when he returned to the country. Consequently, this example is a second-hand car.
Its colour is Exeter Blue, a non-metallic deep blue, with beige upholstery and tinted windows, a combination that looks superb and quietly effective, in short, quintessential English chic.
The vehicle has covered 86, 500 miles since leaving the Crewe factory in 1980 and remains in excellent condition aside from a few very minor paint flaws, but it runs perfectly.
Since purchase, it has undergone 2 services, with invoices to prove.
Air conditioning is working.
This late-production version of the Silver Shadow was the most refined and therefore highly sought after by collectors. The model itself recently celebrated its 60th birthday and holds an important place in the history of the prestigious British marque because it was a resounding commercial success and, at first acquaintance, it is easy to see why!
