Very special 1956 oval Beetle restored by Panoff.
This oval Beetle was restored by Panoff between 1994 and 1998, and there is documentation about it. The colour is the original L324 Polar Silver. The car was restored by Mr. Salo from Finland entirely to his taste and he didn’t spare anything. The car was converted from 6 to 12 volts. The interior was reupholstered in 2014, the front seats come from the Golf MK I, the steering wheel is a reproduction of a classic steering wheel, the radio is a Blaupunkt from the 1960s with fast-select buttons, completely repaired + MP3 input. The engine is a VW Type 2/ T3 CT, 1700 cc (bored to 1600 cc), hydraulic lifters, Street Eliminators heads with 42 mm valves, twin Dellorto carburettors, CSP Super-Competition stainless steel exhaust system with heater. 89 hp / 150 Nm measured on a rolling road. Drum brakes on the rear with 2-circuit system, disc brakes on the front, original bolt‑in alloy wheels, tyres in good condition. Vintage Speed short-throw shifter.
