Description
Citroën Ami 8 Break registered as a classic car.
It has just passed its five-year periodic technical inspection (CTI). (10-2030)
During its first 25 years, the Ami was registered in the Var department, in the south of France.
The odometer shows 68, 500 kilometres (5-digit display), no guarantees.
It was then sold to the Netherlands to an enthusiast who had a sunroof fitted and a tow bar installed to transport his bicycle.
The car has also been fully waxed.
The brown stains visible in the photos are not rust, but wax from the company “Mike Sander”.
When I bought the Ami from this 85-year-old Dutchman more than five years ago, I covered the floor and the engine bay with soundproofing panels to reduce engine noise.
The engine, the chassis, the bodywork and the interior are in good condition; otherwise the car would not have been registered as a classic car.
Unfortunately, the right wing has a small dent. This damage still requires repair.
The seats come from a Citroën BX and are considerably more comfortable and safer thanks to the head restraints.
Everything in the car works, including the heating.
