Description
Citroën Ami 8 Break registered as a classic car.
It has just passed its five-year MOT (CTI) test. (10-2030)
During its first 25 years, the Ami was registered in the Var department, in the south of France.
The odometer shows 68, 500 kilometres (five digits), with no warranty.
It was then sold to the Netherlands to an enthusiast who had a sunroof and a tow bar fitted to transport his bike.
The car has also been fully waxed.
The brown stains visible in the photos are not rust, but wax from the company “Mike Sander”.
When I bought the Ami from this 85-year-old Dutchman more than five years ago, I covered the floor and the engine bay with soundproof panels to reduce engine noise.
The engine, chassis, bodywork and interior are in good condition; otherwise the car would not have been registered as a classic car.
Unfortunately, the right wing has a small dent. This damage still needs repair.
The seats come from a Citroën BX and are considerably more comfortable and safer thanks to the head restraints.
Everything in the car works, including the heating.
