The Atelier des 1000 is pleased to present today for sale this superb Land Rover Defender 90 TD5, in its elegant Coniston Green finish, paired with a beige tarp.
Versatile and renowned for its legendary toughness, the Defender can do it all. Direct heir to the first models produced from the 1980s, in 2000 it still carries the very essence of what made the “Def” a success: simple, efficient design built to last, with comfort clearly improved over the previous generations.
The Defender 90 is the ideal companion, as comfortable in everyday use as on rural escapes, in the mountains, or off the beaten track.
Its configuration allows for up to 3 passengers as indicated on its French registration document, making it as practical as it is sociable.
In terms of the engine, this model is fitted with the famous TD5 engine, a 2. 5‑litre five‑cylinder turbo diesel developing 122 horsepower, known for its reliability, generous torque and character. Paired with a 5‑speed manual gearbox, it offers an authentic drive and an excellent compromise between performance, endurance and off‑road capability.
Mechanically, the engine runs well and delivers its power fully. The cooling and heating radiators are new, as is the feed pump, and a fundamental service has been carried out for the sale.
The gear lever shifts and locks its gears correctly. The propshaft and the box have been drained as part of the sale.
The clutch performs its role perfectly and shows no signs of abnormal wear.
Road handling is sound, the suspension components show no excessive play. The axle mounts, rear suspension mounts, bump stops and exhaust mounts are new.
The steering has no play and the suspension does its job perfectly.
Braking is effective and balanced. The front and rear flexibles are new, as are all rigid lines at the front.
The original wheels are in very good condition and are mounted with tyres in good used condition.
The bodywork presents well. The paintwork has a good shine and shows a uniform patina consistent with the Defender’s age and use.
As for the underbody, it is sound and free from corrosion. The whole body has been refinished in metalwork for the sale, representing around 150 hours of work, carried out to a professional standard.
The beige tarp is in excellent condition and contrasts perfectly with the body.
The upholstery is in good condition, in line with the rest of the cabin, whose instrumentation is fully functional.
In view of its configuration and overall condition, this Land Rover Defender is offered at €25, 990. Trade‑in and exchange possible.
