Renault 6 4x4 SINPAR from 1974, restored in 2012 by a professional with invoices, the entire SINPAR system has been upgraded to reliability, the engine completely rebuilt, the chassis, the bodywork, have nothing to hide, the restoration is visible on the Retromeca website.
It features electronic ignition, which guarantees operation in all conditions, and LED lighting that provides effective illumination.
The car has never been used for off-road driving.
The SINPAR technology fitted to Renault 4 and Renault 6 is designed to enhance traction for use on soft terrain (beach, forest track, byway, snowy road); these cars are not permanent 4x4s, and certainly not all-wheel drive transmissions. Use of the SINPAR system should be at reduced speed to overcome a slippery passage.
By design, the gearbox does not allow speeds above 90 km/ h; I have never used the motorway, but I have crossed France using secondary roads without any issues.
The vehicle is registered as a historic/ collector’s vehicle (carte grise collection).
