Description
Rare opportunity to acquire a 1968 Autobianchi Eden Roc, emblematic model of the Italian “beach cars” of the 1960s.
Designed by Autobianchi on the basis of the Bianchina, the Eden Roc stood out for its light elegance and its seaside spirit, highly coveted at the time by Parisian artists and designers.
This example underwent a spectacular revival after a 2017 accident. Restored at the Garage de Staël, a historic studio of French cinema, it was then enhanced by the work of Maxime Leroy, a renowned featherwork artisan for haute couture houses.
Bodywork repainted in a deep blue, inspired by period Maseratis.
Interior in specially treated Russian leather, paired with a feather marquetry.
Dashboard and bodywork elements clad in feathers.
Overall condition
Car regularly serviced and in perfect preservation since its 2018 restoration.
Exterior condition
The bodywork and chromes are in excellent condition.
The soft top is in excellent condition and fully waterproof. Only a single light scratch appears on the front bonnet and can be easily corrected.
The alignment of the doors and openings is very good given the car’s age.
Interior condition
The interior of this car presents itself in a remarkable state. From opening the door, the eye is drawn to the quality of finishes and the cohesive aesthetic.
The floor mats are immaculate.
One of the most distinctive aspects of this interior lies in the plumassier’s work. This rare craft, applied with subtlety, gives the cabin an elegant, hushed atmosphere.
The steering wheel, sourced from the Fiat 750 Abarth, introduces a touch of sportiness.
But what strikes most, beyond sight and touch, is the scent. The smell of leather, deep and enveloping, becomes evident as soon as you sit in the driver’s seat.
Mechanical condition
The engine is original. It is regularly serviced and wear parts are replaced.
I own the invoice history spanning almost ten years.
The engine is correctly tuned and starts easily.
The gearbox is non-synchro.
