Description
For sale. FN 4‑cylinder, 700T, 750 cm³, is a restoration project.
It is fairly complete; all main parts are present and it has a good base.
The engine was rebuilt in the 1980s by a professional.
We have a few photos taken during the engine rebuild in the workshop.
The engine casing had to be redone because the original was cracked and impossible to weld.
Two damaged connecting rods were also replaced, as well as bearings, valve rings, valve guides, engine gaskets, etc.
We also have all the original parts that were replaced during the restoration.
The engine starts and sounds good, but there are still adjustments to be made, such as the starting kit, which does not engage properly, and a few other items.
The clutch also needs to be thoroughly overhauled.
The gearbox appears to be in good condition and all gears engage correctly.
The Cardan (driveshaft) also engages correctly.
The rest of the fuel tank it is fitted with does not match this year; it is older.
The front fork also needs repair; it seems bent compared to the frame.
We can accept certain motorcycles as part payment, provided they are 500 OHV or OHC, of racer type, or we can also trade for certain American motorcycles—Indian / Harley Davidson / Excelsior from the 1910s, 1920s or 1930s.
We might also be interested in some parts of American motorcycles from those years as part payment.
