The example shown here is a PEUGEOT 204 Coupé from April 1970 in its original exterior colour “Alaska White 1304” (matching colour).
This car is in excellent presentation condition, showing a uniform finish and excellent shine.
After a professional polish by our workshop using orbital equipment, we noted scattered scratches across the body, and a small dent on the engine bonnet with paint chips touched up.
The original bumpers are in good condition. The front bumper shows a few fine scratches.
We noted minor dings on the door mouldings.
This unit is equipped with long-range CIBIE lamps that are fully functional.
All four 14” steel wheels in “Grey” are in good condition.
The front tyres will be replaced with new tyres prior to delivery.
The rear BRIDGESTONE tyres show 30% wear.
Among the noteworthy features and options in “Body / Exterior” include long range lights and chromed mirrors.
Interior:
The interior retains its original configuration and presents very well.
The imitation leather upholstery in “Black” is in excellent condition.
This unit is equipped with front headrests in imitation leather in “Black”.
The door trims in imitation leather in “Black” are also in good condition.
The dashboard and its chrome-style dash cap are in very good condition, with no fading.
All VEGLIA dashboard instrumentation is fully functional, except for the JAEGER clock.
The original bakelite steering wheel shows a patina of use.
The bakelite gear lever knob is in good condition.
The front mats in “Grey” are in good condition; a cut is noted on the rear rubber mat.

Chassis:
Upon lifting onto the ramp, the shell is confirmed to be solid, with no signs of accident damage or structural corrosion.
The fundamentals – longitudinals, sills, boot floor and wheel arches – are in good condition.
Practical reserve: by principle we cannot guarantee perfect alignment beyond what is visually and functionally validated during road test and ramping.
During the dynamic test, no abnormal knocking or noises were detected from the body or suspension components (ball joints, bushings, etc.).
Braking is balanced, stable and progressive with no vibrations or unusual noises.
Front discs show 40% wear and pads 30% wear.
Rear drums are fully functional with no signs of seepage.
A technical inspection will confirm the overall good functioning.
Engine / Transmission:
The mechanics are running perfectly.
The top-end was restored by a specialist in 2025 at 27, 598 km (invoice €2, 346).
On this occasion, the following items were replaced: cylinder head removal, cylinder head resurfacing, top-end gaskets, head gasket, water pump, timing chain, auxiliary belt, oil filter, IGOL 20W50 oil, coolant.
Compression checks and a road test performed by our workshop confirm a healthy four-cylinders engine.
Starting is easy, with no smoke or abnormal noises and the idle is stable, as confirmed by the 360° video with the engine running available at the start of the slideshow.
Starting is improved by the installation of electronic ignition.
The secondary silencer will be replaced with a new unit prior to delivery.
On the move, the engine runs smoothly.
The 4-speed gearbox engages gears easily, with no issues, particularly with the synchros.
Clutch grip is good.
As is common with these models, engine and gearbox sealing remains average.
