Description
MG TC year 1947
The MG T-series were produced from 1936 to 1955, with the MG TC launched in 1945.
This 1947 TC model is in very good overall condition; it is not a concours-condition car, just a car to enjoy driving and that can be improved.
It shows a few service marks while retaining a beautiful patina.
This TC with its elegant large 19-inch wire wheels will (from experience) always be well received in cyclecar rallies, as the minimalist spirit is still present.
Its large original steering wheel occupies part of the cockpit, and if the driver is tall it will be possible to fit a smaller-diameter wheel to improve driving comfort.
Its white bodywork contrasts well with its red interior; its lively 1250 cc engine develops around 55 hp, giving it good nimbleness on the country lanes.
The car starts easily, the engine has all its power, gears shift well, note a little play in the steering, which was already noted in the February 2026 MOT.
The car is well equipped with its hood and all accessories; right-hand drive isn’t troublesome as the car is narrow and offers excellent visibility.
It’s well equipped, mirrors, a fold-down windscreen which leaves space for two small wind deflectors in the English style.
I took many overall photos, pretty details and a few small blemishes; the car is as you see it.
This MG TC has a normal French registration with all its technical inspection stamps since 1995.
This car offers an excellent compromise of pleasure vs. quality while maintaining a very affordable purchase price for the model.
