The 2002 Touring stood out thanks to a key advantage: a sporty coupé-style look paired with a rear tailgate, making it almost as practical as a utility vehicle. These models quickly established themselves as new benchmarks for ambitious, dynamic young executives, looking for high thrills as well as German-style precision. With this masterstroke, BMW took the lead in the market for sporty compact cars—a position it would hold for the long term.
The tii version of the Touring is particularly rare: only 5, 058 examples were produced.
This vehicle, originally from France—as its BMW France Paris import label shows—arrived in Belgium in 2021 with its last owner.
The car was fully restored in 2017, including the following work:

• Refurbishment of the rear differential (final drive)
• Refurbishment of the running gear
• Complete restoration of the bodywork
