Description
Delivered new in Virginia in 1971, this 280SL was subsequently imported to Ireland in 1991, from which point its history has been meticulously tracked and documented.
After 25 years in Ireland, this Pagoda was imported into France in 2016 by an Englishman who used it at his second home in Haute-Loire. Significant maintenance has been carried out, starting with an engine rebuild by Bracq Héritage Workshops in Bordeaux in 2018. Also note the overhaul of the fuel injection system by IDLP two years ago.
Today the car still presents in its original colour combination, Sand Beige with Cognac upholstery. It should be noted that the original black hood was recently replaced by Ateliers Pardini with a brown hood of striking appearance. In parallel, the last owner had the carpets and seat covers replaced.
Never restored, this Pagoda shows a few signs of age but remains well preserved, and it still retains its original engine and gearbox. The car will be delivered serviced and with all four tyres replaced. Its original hard top is also present and will be sold with the car.
