Tom Selleck: "Owning a Ferrari isn't just about having a fast car; it's owning a work of automotive art."
The 1970s were a turbulent period at Maranello. Ferrari had to answer the growing challenge from Lamborghini (with the Countach) and Porsche (with the 911 Turbo). The era of large V12s gave way to more compact sports cars powered by V8s. Ferrari had to rise to the challenge, and what a reply it was: the Ferrari 308 GTS.
At the Cool Classic Club, we have an exceptional example in our Clubhuys: a 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS, originally delivered to the United States. This car has undergone a complete, nut-and-bolt restoration. Every detail of the car has been meticulously rebuilt, with particular attention paid to its mechanicals.
Since its arrival in the Netherlands, a devoted owner has welcomed it with open arms. A restoration project of this scale requires real know-how, which is why the car was entirely rebuilt by specialists. In 2024, the car was officially registered in the Netherlands. After the initial break-in miles, the final touches and improvements were applied, erasing all minor faults, making this Ferrari an absolute masterpiece.
Are you ready to shift the dog-leg gearbox from second to third, while the V8 roaring behind you comes to life, giving you that thrilling shove in the back? It’s pure, authentic driving pleasure. And we haven’t even yet mentioned the stunning design lines… simply irresistible.
