Description
After a long espresso break, Maserati returned in the early 2000s with a new generation of the Maserati Quattroporte. It’s one of the most beautiful Maseratis ever built: practical for everyday use and endowed with that celestial Maserati sound—the 64-valve V8. What could not appeal? Well, straight to the point: the gearbox.
At the time, the Italians deemed it brilliant to install the semi-automatic DuoSelect gearbox — known from the Ferrari 612 — in their luxury saloon. In practice, gear shifts were as smooth as a roller-skating tango… jerky, abrupt and always at the wrong moment.
Fortunately, salvation arrived in 2007 — and what a way! Maserati gave its flagship a light facelift as well as a ZF automatic transmission. The demanding diva suddenly became an elegant ballerina. The temperament stayed quintessentially Italian, but the execution became rigorously German.
And ours? It has that little extra molto bene.
Presented in the rare Bianco Eldorado exterior with Cuoio interior. Classic, elegant and rare. And that’s not all: this Quattroporte can be eligible for youngtimer status as well as the VAT regime, making it particularly appealing for professional use.
It also comes with original 20-inch wheels wearing new tyres and recent brakes, a sliding sunroof, Bose Surround Sound system, iPod/ iPhone connection, electrically adjustable and heated front and rear seats, rear electric blind, Alcantara headlining, front and rear parking sensors, Skyhook adaptive suspension, Bi-Xenon headlights, sport springs (original springs included), and much more.
The maintenance history is complete and well documented.
So yes… as we said: what could we not like?
"The key to an exceptional life is literally a key."
