Description
The 575M Maranello represents the apex of the Ferrari front-engine concept, in terms of technology and performance. Launched in 2002, it succeeds the 550, preserving its elegant restraint and balanced styling. The 575 in its designation signified an optimised displacement, increasing from 5500 to 5750 cm3, yielding more power and torque. The M stood for 'Modified', indicating a revision of the design leading to overall performance optimisation. It was also the first time an F1-type gearbox was used to drive a Ferrari V12 for road-going use.
The great success of the 550's design remained intact, apart from a few aesthetic updates such as new front air intakes, a new front splitter, the evolution of the headlight block design with body colour matched, outlined in grey on the perimeter, xenon headlights and headlight washers. What isn’t visible, however, is the substantial work done underneath the chassis, meticulously sculpted to generate ideal negative lift while reducing aerodynamic drag: the full Formula 1 heritage that has long contributed to the marque's aura.
This is indeed the model we are offering you today, in an elegant “Nero Daytona” metallic finish with a matching black leather interior.
The car was delivered new in Japan on 14 July 2002 and then imported into France by the prestige vehicles subsidiary of the Jean Lain group in August 2016 to be sold in October 2016 to its owner.
This 575 presents in an absolutely impeccable mechanical and aesthetic condition, as the photos attest. A full service with timing distribution was carried out in 2024 at 18, 365 kilometres. In January 2026 we have carried out a complete refresh to make the car road-ready: replacement of the 12 spark plugs and coils, replacement of air and cabin filters, replacement of steering/ stabiliser bar links, replacement of the heater pump and cabin valve, replacement of the rear deck cover and bonnet stop...
Aesthetically it has undergone a professional multi-stage polish: no dents, scratches or impacts to note. The Pirelli P ZERO tyres have just been replaced and are brand new. The black leather interior presents a near-new appearance, perfectly taut, with no signs of wear. The only cosmetic defect to note is that a portion of the leather on the top of the dashboard has slightly contracted. It would be necessary to remove the windscreen (original) for this intervention, we have decided to leave it as is.
We finally have the original leather pouch with all user manuals and the service book indicating its delivery to Japan. It has never been stamped; the car has covered only 18, 500 km in 24 years.
This explains its particularly attractive price given its near faultless condition. The CarVertical and Histovec reports show no negative points on our Ferrari.
Thus, a genuine opportunity to acquire an exceptional and desirable V12 berlinetta that we are offering. When you consider the values reached by its predecessors, it is also surely an excellent investment!
