It was in 1999 that Ferrari started from a blank sheet to create the third generation of V8 in a mid-rear mid-engine layout (after the 308/ 328 generation, the 348/ 355 generation), thus marking the beginning of the 360/ 430 era that defined the 2000s decade (2000–2010).
The Ferrari 360 Modena/ Spider thus replaces the F355 and was replaced, in 2004, by the Ferrari F430 (Spider).
It is the only Ferrari that can boast its years of production aligned with the years when Michael Schumacher won his titles for Ferrari in F1. He had personally participated in the car’s development, which had spent more than 5, 000 hours in the F1 department’s wind tunnel, a record at the time.
There are therefore 2 versions, coupé (Modena) and convertible (Spider).
Two gearboxes were on offer, the manual and the F1 box.
With the F355 and the F430, the 360 is the only one in the rear-mid V8 range to offer the choice between an F1 box or a manual box. The latter, which has not been produced for over 10 years (since the appearance of the 458 Italia in 2010), has clearly become a Ferrari collector’s item. Not to mention that a manual gearbox is more reliable and cheaper to maintain.
The 360 Modena/ Spider was also the first Ferrari to be designed entirely in aluminium, both chassis and bodywork!

The colour combination is simply magnificent: Grigio Nurburgring, black leather interior, not to mention the pinnacle: it’s a manual gearbox!!!
Delivered new in Germany in March 2003 by the Auto Koning dealership in Munich, it has in total had four German owners (2003–2012, 2012–2015, 2015–2022 and 2022–2026).
The bodywork presents very well, nothing to complain about, apart from a few very fine stone chips on the front end. There are no scratches or dents across the body.
It should be noted that the side panels have been partly repainted, but probably a light veil of paint (see photos with our tester). It is not listed as having been involved in an accident in the past according to our information.
The soft top is in good condition, its opening/ closing operation is sound, just you must respect the mechanism’s slow operation (a car over 20 years old).
The interior presents well but is not perfect, the classic issue: the plastics stick. This is a known fault on Ferraris of this generation (as with the previous one). Apart from that, nothing to fault: the seats, the dashboard, the central console, the carpets, the door trims, the interior of the hood, everything is in very good condition!
Mechanically, there is a very good service history: the book, plus a good number of invoices including the timing belt replacement dated December 2023. See on our site the full set of stamps and invoices.
The four tyres are from 2021 and not worn.
We also have reports from previous German technical inspections confirming the excellent condition of this magnificent Ferrari 360 Spider.
We of course have the Ferrari leather dossier, all manuals including the maintenance log, the flashlight, the spare set of keys, the tool kit, etc…
Finally, contrary to popular belief, a Ferrari 360 Modena/ Spider isn’t expensive to maintain, because you no longer have to dismantle the engine to work on it, which saves many hours of labour (and therefore a hefty bill).
It is perfectly usable as a daily driver (with superb sound) and already offers advantages due to its age, such as a reduced TMC (road tax).
