DG Classic in Albi presents this magnificent Renault Estafette from November 1979, fully and carefully restored by us, while respecting its original look.
The vehicle has received a complete restoration, from the underbody all the way to its period-correct paint, to bring back all its charm and authenticity.
This Estafette was previously used to sell automotive parts and features a rear layout that can easily be kept as-is or adapted for a new professional, event, or commercial activity.
Its interior space and vintage style make it ideal for an original project.
On the mechanical side, the engine has been fully overhauled and the vehicle starts instantly. A major service costing €1, 600 was recently carried out, including a complete check of the engine condition and redoing all the necessary adjustments.
The top end of the engine and its ancillaries have been cleaned and degreased, the rocker arms checked and set, and the top-end torque has been re-taken. A coolant leak has also been repaired.
The vehicle has had a compression test on all four cylinders, as well as a visit to the ignition test bench. The oil change was carried out using MOTUL 4100 15W50 oil, and the four spark plugs have been replaced with brand-new BOSCH plugs. Fuel treatment and in-engine anti-wear additives have also been applied.
The distributor has been fully dismantled, cleaned and inspected, including checks of the advance mechanisms, adjustment of the points, and inspection of the distributor cap, the coil and the high-tension lead. The carburettor has also been completely dismantled and cleaned before setting idle speed, mixture (fuel/ air richness) and the various operating parameters.
Several drains/ bleeds and top-ups have been carried out, as well as servicing and adjusting the clutch linkage.
The restored mechanical components have also been repainted, notably the airbox and the rocker cover, to achieve a clean, cohesive whole.
Today, this Estafette is a solid, reliable vehicle ready to get back on the road. It will suit a enthusiast, a collector, or anyone looking to develop a professional project with a characterful classic vehicle.
