« Aston Martin calls it Vanquish, we call it Vanish. »
— Quartermaster
The Aston Martin Vanquish is part of our favourite classics. Not only because its V12 was incredibly powerful for its era, but above all thanks to its absolutely timeless design. The ultimate sports car for the modern gentleman.
The Vanquish was born from the “Project Vantage”, during which Aston Martin developed its 6. 0-litre V12 engine. This engine debuted in the DB7, shortly before the Vanquish’s arrival, and immediately enjoyed great success. When the Vanquish was unveiled to the public in 2001, it marked a turning point for the brand with an all-aluminium body and a chassis mixing carbon fibre and aluminium.
Then came the version aimed at true James Bond enthusiasts: the Vanquish S. Those who watched Die Another Day on loop know exactly what it’s about. For this version, the V12 power rose from 460 to 520 horsepower, allowing the British coupé to sprint from 0 to 100 km/ h in just 4. 6 seconds. With enough space ahead of you – and a healthy dose of courage – 321 km/ h was also within reach.
On board, the experience becomes even more special. No fewer than eight Connolly cowhides were required to clothe the Vanquish S’s interior. Once seated behind the wheel, you immediately understand why Pierce Brosnan chose the Vanquish as James Bond’s car. Even Halle Berry would feel perfectly at home there.
Our example shows only 51, 000 kilometres on the clock. Delivered new under California sunshine, it has always benefited from meticulous maintenance within the official network.
Looking for a gentleman’s GT with real potential for collection and standout presence? Our Vanquish S was designed to impress.
