Indian Model 402 from 1931. This is a 4-cylinder IOE engine of 1265 cc.
In 1927, Indian acquired ACE and produced the Indian-Ace in 1928, which became simply the Indian 4-cylinder in 1929. This model, nicknamed 'Flattanker', was produced until 1931 and is, in my opinion, the most beautiful and sought-after of Indian's 4-cylinder lineup. This motorcycle has been frequently used for touring over the last 40 to 45 years. It has been fully inspected and starts and runs perfectly. New electrical system, carburettor overhauled and dynamo rewound. Old restoration with signs of use.
