HISTORY/ DOCUMENTATION
This Alfa Romeo is a specimen from the final series of the iconic Spider: a model whose base version has been produced since the 1950s. This example was delivered new by the Alfa Romeo dealership in The Hague on 1 May 1991. The car has remained the property of Dutch owners. It stands out for its very low mileage, just over 35, 000 kilometres, and its exceptional original condition. The original mileage is certified by the NAP odometer report from the RDW. Even the hood is still original, but virtually as new! This indicates the car has only been used for leisurely drives or holidays. The delivery, service and owner's manuals are still with the car. The MOT (APK) is valid until 24 January 2027. Thanks to a full service in 2025 with a specialist Alfa Romeo, the car is ready to drive for its next owner!
EXTERIOR
The Alfa is elegantly dressed in a Nero black paint with a black interior. A rare colour, robust and very attractive for this Spider, precisely because it is so uncommon. The paintwork is in very good condition and has a deep lustre. A professional detailing was carried out in April 2026. The chrome pieces are also in good condition. The car is in its original condition, which is entirely explained by its exceptionally low mileage. The 15-inch Ronal aluminium wheels are as new and fitted with good Michelin tyres. The seals and lighting are still intact. All windows are original. An electric aerial is present. The black hood is original but in very good condition, which indicates the car has always been garaged. The hood folds easily under the tonneau cover.
INTERIOR
The lovely black leather interior is entirely black and in very good condition, with no damage. The dashboard is still in good condition. The seats are very comfortable and the floor is covered with immaculate Alfa Romeo carpets. The knobs and gauges are particularly well preserved. The steering wheel and gear knob are also in very good condition. The interior also features, among other things, a new Pioneer radio with Bluetooth, electrically adjustable mirrors and power windows. A windscreen is also present. The boot is neat and lined with beige trim. The spare wheel is located in the lower compartment. A smaller compartment is available to store tools, for example.
TECHNICAL
The latest service was carried out in 2025 with a specialist Alfa Romeo. On that occasion, the rear suspension arms, engine mounts and various interior components were replaced. The car has also been aligned and a new Pioneer Bluetooth stereo installed. The car starts, runs and shifts correctly. Its character is lively and sporty, yet comfortable. The 1, 962 cc four-cylinder fuel-injected engine develops 123 bhp and gets the Alfa to 100 km/ h in 9. 4 seconds. This is the highly sought-after engine, renowned for reliability. Under the hood, everything is clean, dry and in good condition. It is hard to imagine a better car for leisurely drives, for example around Italian lakes or along the Côte d’Azur!
GENERAL INFORMATION
The now famous Alfa Romeo Spider was unveiled on 10 March 1966 at the Geneva Motor Show. It succeeded the Giulietta Spider and formed the first of four series that would eventually be built. The fourth and final series was produced only from 1990 to 1993. Two engine options were available: a 1. 6-litre four and a 2. 0-litre. The models equipped with the 2. 0-litre engine were badged “Veloce” (meaning “fast” in Italian) and are of course the most powerful. The combination of power, performance and suppleness makes this engine the most cherished. The design is by the famous designer Pininfarina. This generation is renowned for its pleasant handling and reliability, which is reflected in rising prices.
