Description

French: A trip back in time to the days of Max Power and GTI MAG, when tuning truly knew no limits. Here’s a 2002 Peugeot 106 GTI. It’s only covered 114, 000 km. The car was modified almost straight out of the factory. The body has been widened with steel—so long to fragile polyester—and it’s got custom-made wide arches. (And it pays off!). The body kit fitted is a Pakfeifer kit. With Morette headlights, Quad rear lights, HyperGen III mirrors and an Esquiss roof spoiler, the outside look is fully sorted. Of course, the car was also painted in shimmering pearlescent metallic yellow back then. The interior hasn’t been ignored either. The dashboard is fully wrapped in black and yellow leather and includes several Vivid gauges. The same goes for the door cards, which are also completely covered in leather, with “106” stitched in. An Isotta sports steering wheel, a gear-change indicator, gear knob, gear-lever gaiter, EL Glow instrument dials, etc., all help brighten the cabin up nicely. The Sparco Sienna seats started life in black (a choice that’s obviously not very flattering), and were immediately retrimmed in black and yellow leather. Schroth three-point seatbelts keep the occupants firmly in place. The car runs on Brock wheels and Dunlop tyres.

Now, onto the engine bay. That’s where the 1. 6 16v engine lives (not quite standard). This engine, like the rest of the car, has also had significant changes: modified camshafts; modified cylinder head; Chadil throttle bodies; DTA engine management; Pipercross Viper kit; Supersprint exhaust manifold and mid-pipe; Rage double rear silencer. All of it adds up to a respectable 178 bhp and 200 Nm at 6, 927 rpm (see photo of the dyno sheet). And that’s not all! A NOS (nitrous oxide) kit has also been fitted. It’s connected at 90%, so you can’t really tell exactly how much extra power it might bring—but we’ll leave you to imagine ;-)

All in all, around €30, 000–€35, 000 has been invested in the car’s modifications, excluding the car itself. A full list of the work carried out is supplied with the vehicle. We bought the car after a long period of inactivity and got it back into running order. Now it’s down to the next owner to finish off the final details and get the car fully back up and running again. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we can’t keep working on it—getting it to this state took far too long. That’s why we’ve decided to sell it as-is.

This includes the timing belt, lighting elements and certain dashboard components that require an electrical connection. In other words: this car isn’t for anyone who only knows how to top up the fuel ;-) Two crates of spare parts and the complete original exhaust system (almost brand new) are included with the car.
