Fitting/ outboard:
The model presented here is a DUCATI 999R from July 2005 in its original “Rosso Anniversaire” paint (matching colour).
The paint is still in excellent condition today, showing an even shade and excellent gloss.
This has also been ceramic coated.
All carbon fairings; carbon rear hugger and the seat back/ cowl are in excellent condition.
This example is fitted with the DUCATI Performance quick-fill cap.
The PIRELLI Diablo Supercorsa tyres show 10% wear at both the front and rear.
The MARCHESINI forged wheels in 17” “Oro” finish are in excellent condition.
This model is supplied with aluminium stands LVE at the front and LV8 at the rear.
Among the interesting equipment and options fitted to this example, we noted:
The DUCATI Performance quick-fill cap, carbon fairing, ceramic treatment, and the carbon rear hugger.
Instruments:
The MAGNETTI MARELLI dash/ instruments are fully functional. We noticed a crack on the rev counter face.
This example is fitted with a DYNOJET quickshifter.
Frame/ Chassis:
Putting it up on the ramp confirms a steel tubular trellis frame with no visible accident marks and no apparent structural corrosion.
This example is fitted with titanium racing rearsets and a titanium rear loop.
The OLHINS fork oil seals will be replaced ahead of delivery.
We noted BREMBO Racing grips.
Braking has been improved with the fitment of Racing front brake discs and BREMBO PR16 RCS/ PR 19RCS calipers.
The front and rear brake discs show 10% wear.
The front and rear brake pads show 10% wear.
The MOT/ technical inspection carried out ahead of delivery will confirm that everything is working correctly.
Engine / Transmission:
Invoices since 2013 (total: €8, 113) prove that it has been maintained at a DUCATI centre and by a specialist of the brand.
The timing/ distribution will be replaced with new parts ahead of delivery.
The mechanicals run perfectly.
The Testastretta V2 starts instantly and the idle is steady, as confirmed by the 360° video with the engine running, available at the beginning of the slideshow.
The sound of the Testastretta V2 has been enhanced by a big full-titanium SPARK exhaust system and a racing air filter.
Engine power has been improved with the fitment of a Power Commander 3.
This example is fitted with a battery charger socket.
The gearbox shifts all 6 gears without any issues in terms of the synchros.
The clutch action is good; it is fitted with a DUCATI Performance anti-tibble slipper clutch.
