Our example was delivered new in Germany in January 1980. Imported to France in 2021, it has belonged to its current owner since 2023, who has now chosen to part with it.
Mechanically, the 2. 8L six-cylinder runs perfectly. It starts easily, with no unusual noises or smoke, and delivers smooth, pleasant driving with torque available across the entire rev range.
The 4-speed automatic gearbox ensures smooth, seamless gear changes, offering optimal driving comfort.
The suspension components show no play and the dampers perform their role perfectly, guaranteeing safe and comfortable handling.
Braking is powerful and well-balanced.
The original wheels look excellent and are fitted with tyres in good condition.
The paintwork presents well, it is uniform and offers a nice lustre. We do note the presence of a few localised blisters on the rear boot, which have not developed over the years.
The underside shows traces of previous repairs. Inspection on a lift reveals a sound and structurally solid overall condition, however, certain welds have not been ground smooth, and the aesthetic finish is not up to our usual standards.
This car, whose overall appearance remains uniform and attractive despite a few minor imperfections, benefits instead from a very appealing specification and sound mechanics.
Body panel alignment is within standard parameters.
The chrome is well preserved and contributes to the overall elegance.
The cabin, understated and refined, typical of the marque, has been remarkably preserved and remains very comfortable.
