A truly magnificent pre-war Cadillac saloon in original condition, imported to Greece in the 1950s.
The Series 60, designed by Cadillac's new director, Nicholas Dreystadt, was launched in 1936.
This model was produced from 1936 to 1938.
The exterior showcased a new design penned by the renowned Harley Earl, featuring a tall, slender grille and a divided V-shaped windscreen.
The bodywork was manufactured by Fisher, the specialist coachbuilding division of General Motors.
The independent "Knee-Action" suspension, introduced by Cadillac in 1934, represented a welcome innovation in the motor car market of the era.
Moreover, Bendix dual servo-assisted brakes were fitted.
Our car retains its authentic 5. 7-litre (346 cubic inch) V8 engine with side valves, in perfect working order.
This new engine produced 135 bhp, more than any previous Cadillac V8, and shared the same displacement as all Cadillac Monobloc models of this period.
Its stunning green finish and period-correct cloth interior complete the picture.
The car rides on four period whitewall tyres, which enhance its appearance and make it a true icon.
Two additional spare wheels are mounted on the side carriers.
Atop the grille sits the Cadillac statuette (mascot), the characteristic emblem of its premium models.
The former owner, a wealthy industrialist, kept this car for over 50 years, and the current owner, also a prominent industrialist, has maintained it in his garage alongside other pre-war motorcars for more than 20 years.
