Selling Citroën AX GT (series) Opera de Paris (= German version of the Volcane model sold in France, main difference being Monopoint fuel injection instead of dual-barrel carburettor)
Condition: The car is in original Series 1 AX configuration with recent paintwork (slate grey = original Opera de Paris and Volcane colour with matching new decals), interior in original condition (clean with nothing to report), dashboard is cracked (another undamaged one is supplied with the car), all rust potential has been treated and repaired over the years. The wheels have been repainted but show minor lacquer crazing and not material damage (nothing to worry about). The engine bay could still be improved but nonetheless presents very well. Exhaust system, brakes, fuel system etc., Michelin tyres from 2017, no work required. In short, a lovely collector's car (limited series to 300 units), a real opportunity. (Last MOT in 2024 valid for 2 years = clean)
However, the engine must be replaced with another one supplied with the car. The original engine allows the car to be moved over a short distance but must be exchanged as it is ejecting coolant. Despite a cylinder head gasket change and cylinder head work, the problem persists. Reason unknown. Recently replaced parts: Radiator (2026), new valves (2026), timing belt kit (2026) etc.
Stock sold with the car = essentially a second car! A van will be needed to transport it.
