It is with great emotion that we are putting up for sale our father and grandfather's Citroën Traction Avant 11B, who passed away several years ago.
This car has remained in our family for many years and has been part of numerous life moments, particularly weddings and family events.
We have today made the difficult decision to part with it so that it can go to an enthusiast who will know how to look after it, restore it and keep it on the road.

Current Condition and Work Required
The Traction was roadworthy before it was laid up but has not been driven for several years.
It will need to be restarted and serviced before it can be returned to the road.
Work to be carried out will include:
a new 6V battery to enable restart;
brake system overhaul;
complete mechanical inspection of the engine and ancillaries after purchase;
more generally, a full service due to its age and extended period of storage.
The vehicle is therefore sold as seen, without warranty as to its current operation, and will need to be transported on a flatbed trailer.
We prefer to be completely transparent so that its future owner knows exactly what condition they are buying it in.
MOT and Previously Recorded Condition
The last MOT we have on file dates from 11 January 2011. At that time, the vehicle was presented with 0 defects requiring a retest.
Several minor defects had nonetheless been noted, particularly corrosion to the floor pan and underside as well as sealing defects.
Given that the MOT is many years old and the car has been laid up since then, this information obviously does not describe its current condition. Prospective buyers are invited to inspect the vehicle in person.
A Genuine Family History
We have a file of invoices and old documents detailing part of the maintenance and history of this Traction.
Several invoices dating back to the late 1990s and 2000s have been kept, along with various technical documents.
We also have numerous old photographs of the car when it was in use, particularly at weddings and family events.
All available documentation will be handed over with the vehicle.
