Description
I'm selling my 1963 2CV AZAM 6-volt, which is a commercial version equipped with the ENAC kit.
It's a car with completely restored mechanics:
- Original new chassis (MCC) and treated with cavity wax
- Restored engine (bored out to 530cc)
- Checked gearbox
- New drum brakes, master cylinder and brake lines
- New bearings and suspension (stainless steel dampers)
- Axles cleaned and treated with rust protection
- Transistorised ignition
- Plastic fuel tank
- 5 Michelin tyres
As for the bodywork, the entire underside has been replaced with new panels (Burton 2CV Parts) and welded as original using a spot welder. The new parts have been repainted to mimic patina. Elements such as the doors, bonnet and front wings are in their original state.
Inside, the front bench seat, speedometer, dashboard, steering wheel and indicator stalk are original; everything else has been purchased new:
- Complete rear upholstery
- Plastic floor mats
- Dashboard trim
- Soft top
- Windscreen seal
This 2CV isn't perfectly in its original configuration, so the future owner is free to source elements that match their model perfectly (bonnet trim strip, AZAM door handles, chromed window surrounds, etc.)
After its complete restoration and a bit of running-in, it travelled across France (from Alsace to Brittany) and I've used it daily for short trips as well as transporting bulky items.
Useful information:
- MOT passed less than 2 months ago (valid until 2031)
- Sold with all invoices (just over €11, 000 in new parts)
- An expert report provided by Classic Expert
- Collector's registration document in my name
Nice touches:
- It has a centrifugal clutch
- It has suicide doors
- It has a flat rear floor, a folding bench seat and a spare wheel carrier (ENAC kit)
- It has little 1960s-style graphics
- It looks great :)
- 95% of the parts come from Burton 2CV Parts
- It runs every day and starts brilliantly!
