According to the Citroën Heritage archives, this 7C cabriolet was manufactured on 7 November 1934, making it one of the very first 7C cabriolet examples, the most refined version for the year 34.
Purchased in 2012, when it was registered in the Var since 1980, this cabriolet had the advantage of being complete and having matching chassis, body and engine numbers. Father and son, aware of the exceptional nature of this example, jointly undertook its restoration with the objective of bringing it back to excellent condition, in strict accordance with its original specification, thanks to advice from model historians. Absolutely everything has been restored, the original mechanics have been overhauled, the bodywork completely stripped and repainted, the interior refurbished, and all accessories specific to this model year have been sourced.
The car has covered only a few kilometres since this resurrection.
Whilst this version is already rare in itself, the fact that it is strictly original and with matching numbers is truly remarkable.
A genuine collector's piece, this fine cabriolet will satisfy the most discerning enthusiasts.
The restoration of this car was completed approximately 4 years ago, with some photographs and invoices included in the file. Its Citroën Heritage certificate is available and confirms that this car is indeed factory original. It also comes with an extensive file documenting the restoration of numerous details.
