A true icon of world motoring, the Beetle Cabriolet represents one of the most endearing and sought-after models from Volkswagen's production. This 1979 example, sourced from a private collection, has undergone a complete restoration and has covered very few miles since. Always kept in a showroom, this Beetle presents a remarkable overall condition today.
Interior Condition:
The cabin is in excellent condition. The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in slate blue faux leather in superb condition, with no visible wear or cracking. The headrests are colour-matched. The light grey door panels with wood inserts are clean and uniform. The three-spoke steering wheel is period-correct and in good condition. The blue carpet is clean. The front boot is lined with black carpet.
Mechanical Condition:
The engine is in fine condition. The engine bay is clean and consistent with the vehicle's age. As the car has covered very few miles since its restoration, the entire mechanical assembly benefits from optimal operation and remarkable reliability.
Exterior Condition:
The bodywork is presented in a beautiful metallic sky blue finish, uniform and glossy, without defect. The soft top is in perfect condition, with no tears or distortion, and operates correctly. The chrome bumpers are well preserved. The round rear lights typical of the 1303 generation are in good condition. Lemmerz-type five-spoke aluminium wheels are fitted to two positions, with steel wheels and hub caps on the other two.
