Description
Rosengart LR2 Limousine 1929
Brand History
Rosengart was founded by Lucien Rosengart, a successful entrepreneur who had previously supplied components to manufacturers such as Peugeot and Citroën.
Having recognised the enormous success of the small and affordable Austin Seven in England, he acquired the manufacturing licence rights in 1927 to produce this car in France.
Production began in 1927 and, in 1928, the first Rosengart was introduced to the market: the LR2. It was the very first model produced by the marque.
This Rosengart is an LR2 Limousine, the most luxurious version of the LR2 range. This is particularly evident in the quality of the interior trim and the opening front windscreen.

The Car Today
The Engine
The engine is a four-cylinder with a displacement of 747 cc, paired with a three-speed manual gearbox.
The modest 12 bhp engine runs perfectly and turns over with excellent regularity, as does the gearbox.
History
This magnificent Rosengart LR2 was imported to the Netherlands in its current condition in 1987.
The car had most likely already been restored before 1987, but unfortunately, no documentation relating to this restoration is available.
In 2006, the vehicle was acquired by the son-in-law of its owner at that time.
Condition
The Rosengart is presented in excellent condition. The car shows a few light signs of use in certain places, but overall, it is a particularly charming and well-maintained example.
The interior has also remained in very good condition. The seats are upholstered in a typically French fabric that perfectly suits the character and era of the car.
The Rosengart LR2 starts easily and drives very well. All of the lighting functions perfectly, as can also be seen in the photographs.
This unique 1929 Rosengart LR2 Limousine is now offered for sale.
Asking price: €9, 950
