Private seller selling 404 Cabriolet from December 1968 – 2nd owner – for knowledgeable professional or Peugeot Club France or abroad !!! or as a donor car but that would be a shame !!!
I have owned this car since 1985, used it for 5 years, stored it in my garage from 1990 until 2019. Then it went for so-called restoration with an unreliable person who left it for 7 years in various outdoor locations under a tarpaulin !!! that's what you call breach of trust against a vulnerable person
Which explains its current condition. I am neither a mechanic nor a panel beater. The engine has been dismantled and left in crates. The vehicle is 95% complete. It has 2 hard tops – 2 rear boots – 1 salvageable soft top along with its arches in good condition – Its interior is sound – Its windows and windscreen are in excellent condition – Standard registration document in my name.
I would be pleased if this vehicle, which bears its hallmarks of prestige as it was created by Pininfarina, creator of various works of art including the Ferrari 250 GT California which it strangely resembles, could bring joy to a courageous and determined person committed to giving it a new lease of life to travel the roads of France and various events
For information, 885 examples were produced in 1968, of which 500 still exist today
The odometer reads 43, 884 km as I have driven it very little, its value continues to climb as it is a prestige vehicle and extremely rare as a cabriolet
