HISTORY
Introduced in 1986 to succeed the legendary CJ, the Jeep Wrangler YJ marks an important milestone in the history of the Jeep brand.
Produced from 1987 onwards, it ushers in a new generation of off-roader, designed to retain the go-anywhere capability and adventurous spirit of its predecessors whilst offering greater comfort and everyday versatility.
Recognisable at a glance thanks to its rectangular headlights, a first for a Wrangler, the YJ stands out with its bold styling, widened wheel arches, folding windscreen and angular bodywork typical of American 4x4s from the 1980s.
Equipped with a robust chassis, solid axles and engineering conceived for challenging terrain, it has become an iconic model over the years, cherished by enthusiasts of characterful and collectible vehicles.
DESCRIPTION
This 1989 example underwent a complete restoration in 2017, during which its engine was also completely rebuilt. Since that work, the vehicle has covered approximately 47, 000 km. Photographs and invoices from the restoration are available, documenting the work carried out.
Comprehensive servicing has been completed as part of its preparation for sale, including radiator replacement.
In its current configuration, this Wrangler YJ combines its classic appearance with some welcome improvements: the lights were converted to LED technology during the restoration and an LED light bar has been added to the front. The vehicle is sold with a hard-top, along with a canvas kit comprising a soft roof, canvas doors and canvas seat covers, allowing you to enjoy different configurations depending on the season and intended use.
An iconic 4x4 with timeless appeal, which will captivate both Jeep enthusiasts and classic vehicle lovers seeking an authentic and versatile machine.
