Original-condition car, virtually as new, with owner's handbook and original warranty booklet
This Volvo 145 Torslanda was delivered on 5 July 1968 to a private owner in Kvarnsveden, just over 200 kilometres north of Stockholm. It is clear the car covered very few miles from new, as shown by the earliest Swedish annual inspection, dated 1992, which records 61, 675 km on the odometer. The most recent Swedish inspection, from 1997, shows 69, 729 km.
In 2005, the car was sold in Germany and received an underbody and cavity protection treatment from TimeMAX. At that time the car was in fully original condition, as confirmed by the TimeMAX treatment report.
In 2011, it was sold by a dealer to a German sculptor who owned several collector cars and occasionally used this Volvo estate as a utility vehicle. This sculptor entrusted the sale of the Volvo 145 to us.
The car appears entirely original and in very good condition. Even the interior is immaculate, like that of a very well-maintained, practically new car. The owner could not confirm whether the paint was original, so its thickness was measured, consistently around 100 micrometres. These readings indicate factory paint, but closer examination reveals that at least under the side trim strips, the bodywork has been repainted. This appears to be a very thin layer, with no visible colour difference. The engine bay was then cleaned using dry-ice blasting, confirming that it too is in excellent original condition.
