Renault 4CV R1062 for sale – 1954 – Classic-registered collector's car. An iconic piece of French automotive heritage, kept original and carefully maintained. Showing a lovely patina and a refurbished interior, this 4CV retains all the charm of a vintage car and is ideally suited to rétro runs and classic car gatherings. Servicing and mechanicals: Recent service including engine oil and gearbox oil change. Filters and spark plugs replaced. New water pump and radiator. Tyres in very good condition. New shock absorbers. Braking system refurbished. New battery. Ignition serviced. Engine completely rebuilt by the previous owner; list of work available on request. The car starts and is roadworthy. Carburettor tuning needed for optimal cold running. Equipment and presentation: Interior restored, including seat covers, door trims and a new insulated floor pan. New headlining. Roof in fine condition, with no dents or visible hail damage. 12V electrical system. Central locking on all four doors and the front boot, presented as a period option. Registered in my name as a collector's vehicle. Little used since my recent purchase. Exempt from MOT testing (no test required before 1960). Cheap to insure. Points to note: The car can be driven as it is in its current patina, but if you are a purist or perfectionist, allow for light paintwork repairs to the lower sills at the front and rear and the lower part of the front driver's door.
