We are offering for sale this 1974 Autobianchi A112 E, carefully restored and supported by a file of invoices detailing the work carried out.
Presented in Bordeaux red with a black leather interior, it is fitted with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The engine has been completely rebuilt and is currently being run in.
Main work carried out:
- Extensive engine rebuild: block bored out, new pistons and shells, timing, clutch and water pump
- Carburettor overhauled and tuned
- Running gear and brakes refreshed: shock absorbers, ball joints and brake hoses
- Bodyshell stripped, treated against corrosion, repaired and repainted
- Engine bay restored and repainted
- Numerous parts replaced or reconditioned: gaskets, hoses, filtration, ignition and cooling system components
- Seals and opening panels refurbished
The invoice file justifies over €25, 000 of work. The odometer shows 17, 268 km, with the mileage recorded as progressive.
Work planned before sale:
Under the warranty the current owner holds through the professional dealer selling the car, we will be replacing the gearbox and differential bearings. The rear drum brakes will also be adjusted to correct the imbalance noted at the MOT.
The MOT also noted that part of the chassis could not be inspected. The chassis has been fully redone and then protected with an underseal coating, which explains this observation: it is no longer bare metal as it was originally.
