Description
For sale: 1981 Citroën 2CV6 Special, fully restored. Engine completely rebuilt (camshaft, barrels, pistons, valves, piston rings, gaskets). Clutch, driveshafts, battery, breather, fuel pump, alternator, master cylinder, front and rear brakes, fuel gauge and the entire wiring loom are all new. The dampers and exhaust system are also new. The seats have been completely re-trimmed, and the dashboard has been partly restored, with all bulbs and the indicator stalk replaced. The seatbelts are new, as is the cabin soundproofing and the interior door cards. All window and door seals have been replaced (the driver's door seal will need replacing again). The chassis was stripped back to bare metal and treated against corrosion, and the floor pan has been replaced in its entirety. The front left door is new, as are both rear wings. The bodyshell was stripped and repainted along with the whole bodywork. All panel beating and paintwork was carried out by a professional. This list is not exhaustive, but a full record of the replaced parts can be found on the invoices in my possession. The restoration took almost 2 years. The car shows 26, 700 km on the clock, but the engine has in reality covered around 150 km since its restoration. The car is in very good condition and was independently valued at €13, 500.
