The Appeal
A mighty, imposing station wagon with an unmistakably Jeep appearance. Born in the disco era, during a transitional period for the American automotive industry, the Cherokee is an icon of those years, distinguished by its large grille, large windows and striking decals, as well as its unmistakable silhouette. Capable of the excellent off-road performance expected of a Jeep, these large family-oriented SUVs have had a long and glorious history.
This 1979 example has a fascinating retro look and is was owned by Renato Zero when it was new. His music company Zeromania is listed as the first owner on the registration document, verifying the provenance. Even leaving aside this interesting peculiarity, it is a very attractive station wagon that is sure to attract a lot of attention.
This vehicle has received a lot of attention, and the engine was replaced with a six-cylinder turbodiesel VM 3600 by Carollo, a well-known American car specialist, in 1993. The original red paint has recently been refreshed, and the vehicle retains its original Jeep stickers, giving it an inimitable 1970s style. We are sure it will attract a lot of attention!
