The Appeal
A few years into 924 production, Porsche couldn’t resist the temptation to make its entry-level coupe faster and better. To homologate its new sports car the firm developed the road-going Carrera GT. Turbocharged to 205bhp this was a fire-breathing monster that could out-drag the 911.
Just 406 were built and this low mileage example is number 331. It is a 1981 car finished in striking Guard’s Red and delivered new in Germany. It has been meticulously maintained, with a major service including a timing belt replacement at 129,577 km.
The condition is very good and usefully factory standard inside and out. Now registered in the Netherlands it is one of the rarest and most capable Porsches of the 1980s and ideal for the discerning collector.
