1969 Jensen FF Mk II - SOLD
We are delighted to be able to offer this 1969 Jensen FF Mk II for a commissioned sale on behalf of the owner.
Only 110 Jensen FF Mk II were ever produced, 109 RHD models and 1 Experimental (Prototype) RHD model. The car on sale today is the first of the 109 cars bearing the chassis number of 201. Being the very first production MK II, the car was completed on 10th October 1969 and retained by Jensen as a demonstrator. It was sold by the factory on 23rd June 1970 with a mileage of 14, 310.
The current owner has owned this car from 1986 but due to changes in circumstance, he has made the very reluctant decision to sell it to its’ next custodian. The owner bought this car as a restoration case from a well known Jensen dealer. It has had a major body and mechanical restoration including a fully rebuilt engine and gearbox, and panels such as sills, valances and wings replaced. Over the years the engineer owner built up the car, eventually returning it to the road in August 2003. The private registration that came with the vehicle was removed and the original West Bromwich registration returned to the car.
Since then, the car has been used frequently and has attended many classic car shows, meetings and overseas trips including a memorable trip to Turin to celebrate the Interceptor and FF 50th anniversary.
The vehicle sits very well on its 17” Mk III wheels which accommodate a Fosseway big brake kit (the original calipers are with the car should the new owner wish to revert to 15” wheels). On the road the car has impeccable manners, great oil pressure and has a lovely refined V8 burble. The four wheel drive system allows for some spirited cornering and unusually, the Maxaret system is all there. There are many more upgraded and restored parts of which we are happy to tell a prospective owner.
There are two full file boxes of paperwork from the current owner with bills and invoices from the last 32 years, including every MOT since being put back onto the road.
