Descripción
Oldsmobile Ninety Eight epitomized the highest form of luxury offered by this division of General Motors. From 1941 till 1996 it was produced in 12 consequent editions and 6 different body styles. Out of all, the 8th edition is considered as the most desirable mainly for its blending of thoroughbred muscle car features with comfort-oriented technology. This particular 98 was manufactured by Fischer in 1970 with a convertible body and was fitted with the biggest powerplant available, the mighty Rocket 455ci., a Big Block with an output of 365bhp, the highest prior to US catalytic restrictions. After numerous years in southern Florida, it was registered and stored in Massachusetts. In 2007 it was acquired by a collector who imported it in the drier climate of Greece. In 2016 it was sold to its current owner who decided to conduct a full service that included engine, gaskets, seals, pumps, belts, carburetor, manifolds, shock absorbers and tuning. It is now offered in excellent cosmetic and mechanical 'turn-key' condition.
