1996 ROVER MINI COOPER 1. 3I - 1 OWNER
I originally bought this beautiful Mini over 7 years ago owing to the fact that it was a locally supplied car, low mileage of 47000 and 1 private owner from new. The customer was selling the car to pay for a new bathroom!
I knew I had to buy the car as while it wasn’t perfect (when is an old mini??) it was a very honest car and drove very well. I stored the car for a while, used it a couple of times and then when it was due for an MOT I had the car inspected and discovered that the subframe was past its best. I had the full rear subframe replaced and a new exhaust fitted at the same time- which was not a cheap exercise!! A few months later i was moving the car out of my building and I decided to have a few small bits of paintwork done to the front scuttle and front wings, work began on this and whilst it was there I decided the little mini deserved much more attention so we stripped the full car!!!!
Work got very busy and a few years past and she just sat there gathering dust as other projects took priority and she wasn’t taking up a great deal of space in the corner!
12 months ago I decided I was going to focus my efforts on getting the mini into “new” condition.
The works we have completed are as follows:
All trims, interior and exterior stripped, glass removed to take the car bake to a bare shell to ensure a quality finish.
Many new body parts fitted including full front panel, new wings, sills and lower door skins.
Scuttle panel corners removed, refitted and shaped to ensure a good fit.
Small repair panel fitted to boot floor.
Full repaint in factory colour combination of british racing green with contrast old english white roof and mirror caps
full set of new carpets, door handles, door pulls and window winders
all leather fully reconnolised
new chrome bumpers front and rear
new chrome grille
all exterior body fixings replaced - roof trim, sill covers and wheel arches .
new cooper badges front and rear
full new decal set and bonnet stripes.

In addition tooth’s we are doing a full service on the car including all filters, new oil, spark plugs and 12 months MOT prior to sale.
This car represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase a genuine 1 owner, locally supplied, late model classic mini cooper in wonderful order. It even still has the supplying dealers numberplate, stickers and tax disc holder in place.
We have the original old style V5, service book containing 12 entries and a full bookpack. UK registered mini’s like these revery few and far between.
PLEASE NOTE WE ARE CURRENTLY HAVING THIS CAR FULLING DETAILED AND SERVICED BEFORE APPLYING THE FACTORY DECALS ON THE 6/ 10/ 18 . WE WILL UPLOAD THE FINISHED PHOTOGRAPHS ONCE COMPLETED.
