Beschreibung
1969 Triumph 2. 5 Mk1 PI manual with overdrive in Slate Grey with a shadow blue interior; excellent bodywork, paintwork & bright-work & is mechanically sound.
Selling due to poor health, I feel I can no longer cope with scrabbling about underneath or burying my head under the dash etc. when required.
She has an original wood rim PI steering wheel, period Cosmic-slot alloy wheels, tow bar with twin electrics, Chris Wittor stainless exhaust system & sport back-box, stiffer slightly lower rear springs, braided brake hoses & mostly copper/ nickel brake pipes, electronic ignition & was MOT’D with no advisories on 28-09-2018, even though as a historic vehicle she is MOT and tax exempt.
Front seats were very recently reupholstered to a high standard using original Standard Triumph Leather faced replacement seat covers.
Bad points:
1 The front carpets could do with replacing but are still serviceable.
2 Dash clock has stopped working but I do have a replacement
3 Engine bay could do with finishing-off to make perfect
4 Speedometer is approximately 8 mph optimistic due to the Mk2 gearbox ratios
This is one of the best surviving examples of this now quite rare car, & is very original aside from the Mk2 overdrive gearbox, Mk2 rear suspension (Fully refurbished with Super-Flex bushes), drive shafts & one or two bolt on bits that can easily be changed if required. I still have the Mk 1 Shafts & swinging arms.
I have owned and maintained this car for approximately 25 years, with no expense spared. The car is A1+ condition and could easily be brought up to concours condition.
