New in at The Bike Specialists is a stunning example of the Ducati 749R. Our UK example is number 499 of a limited run and is one of the best we've seen having covered just 4, 786 miles. It is supplied with the Ducati book pack, including owners manual and full service history and benefits from being fitted with a Termignoni exhaust system, carbon rear hugger and Ducati performance carbon clutch cover. A full service and MOT will be carried out on this bike prior to sale.
The 'R' version of the 749 was specifically built to win the World Super Sport championship. At the time it was the highest specification Ducati to have left the factory. The Supersport championship had very strict rules about altering of engines and stock parts so Ducati built this bike as an out and out racer straight from the factory. The model is above and beyond the 749S with larger valves, lighter body, shorter stroke and a higher RPM and hence more torque and power. The 749R also came with a larger tank, slipper clutch, Ohlins forks, racing cams, and titanium valves.
