Very rare and extremely equipped catering van. Some may say a King of Catering. Lots will say on adverts that you will not find a better equipped vehicle. I genuinely believe this to be true for my bus. This is an extremely rare conversion, has everything and more.
DRINK BAR; this bus is extremely versatile. Currently kitted out for a bar, which, if you know mobile bars then you will know having a unique bar (like this one), you will be miles ahead of other boring looking horse box or trailer bars and ready to make serious money.
FOOD CATERING: When the summer is over simply add a griddle, fryer, bbq or panni and coffee machines and connect to the existing LPG system, This is very easy to do. (See LPG tank and plumbing already in place. Just connect straight to the system. (See photos 11, 12 for 3x lpg gas connections ready to use).
THE BUS
This is a 2008 VW Bluebird bus. The engine and automatic ‘DSG’ gearbox are extremely reliable. It’s a VW which is bomb proof / top brand bus. I looked for ages to select the right bus. The chassis is in great condition.
The history to the bus is that it started out as an elderly person disability commuter bus before changing to a shuttle bus for Luton airport working from planes to terminal only. It has not had a hard life at all with only 128, 000 miles on the clock which well below average. As a disability bus and then airport vehicle it has had 6 weekly checks / history all its life, up until March 2018. Sadly all this paperwork is kept in house (electronically) at each company and I do not have a copy. I have no reason not to believe this information.
The vehicle is 4, 100 tonnes. As it stands the Law says – If you passed your test before January 1997 you will already have ‘Acquired Rights’ (also known as grandparents rights), and you will be able to drive this vehicle on a standard driving licence, including anything up to and including a 7. 5 tonne truck. You will have the C1 entitlement on your licence.
If not, then you have three choices (a) find someone with a licence pre 1997 to drive. (b) Take the C1 driving test (about £100-£130 for the test). (c) Or look at getting the vehicle re-weighed / reclassified as all the extremely heavy seats / interior have been taken out and this could be much lighter and may drop it below 3. 500 tonnes.
Dimensions;
6 metres long by 2 metres wide by 3. 2 metre high. (This fits on my driveway. However we have stored vehicles with local farmers for around £50 a month).

Solar panel system; this powers all Internal and external lights, Large Extractor fan, water pump which runs the hot and cold water boiler. It also constantly charges 4 high quality leisure batteries which kick in for evening / night bar services. (See photo 10 for solar panel controls).
Full LPG tank and set up; This can service several LPG food appliances should you wish to use as a catering bus. No gas bottles needed just fill up at many petrol stations around the Country. See photos for how simply it is to connect cooking appliances. The LPG set up alone cost a small fortune, and makes this vehicle unique in its field. (See photos 11, 12 for 3x lpg gas connections ready to use).
Extra Large Fresh Water reservoir; This services the double sink area with hot and cold water. This is needed to pass hygiene levels for food.
